Helicon Participates in Scholarship Fund Tournament

by | May 16, 2011

Last Friday, May 6th, 2011, Helicon participated in the tenth annual Carrollwood Community Bar Association Charity Courthouse Scramble. It was held at the Carrollwood Golf and Country Club in Tampa, Florida.

The proceeds from this event go to benefit youths aspiring to follow their dreams of higher education, facilitated by All Sports Community Services Scholarship Fund.

The day started out gray and rainy, but cleared up just in time for the 1:00 tee off. This was my first time on the golf course in over 15 years, so I was happy that the tournament was a “best ball” scramble.

The events included a raffle, silent auction, a closest-to-the-pin contest, and a Hole-in-One contest that boasted a fishing trip on Bill Currie’s 65ft yacht.
