Helical Piers
Transfer the Weight of Your Structure to Deep Soils
Helical piers are engineered steel shafts with screw-like helical plates designed to stabilize and support foundations. By advancing the piers deep into stable soil or bedrock, Helicon ensures your foundation load is transferred away from weak surface soils and onto solid, load-bearing strata.
What are Helical Piers?
Helical piers (also known as helical piles or screw anchors) are advanced foundation elements designed to secure structures built on unstable soil. Each pier consists of a steel shaft with helical plates welded near the tip, allowing it to be hydraulically “screwed” deep into the ground.
Once advanced to the proper depth and torque, the piers are attached to the foundation with heavy-duty steel brackets. This process creates a secure connection that transfers the weight of the structure onto stable soil or bedrock, providing immediate load-bearing capacity.
How Helicon’s Helical Pier System Works
- Brackets are mounted at strategic points beneath the foundation
- Helical piers are rotated deep into stable strata using hydraulic equipment
- The system locks into place as the piers achieve the required depth and torque resistance
- Foundations may be gently lifted and permanently secured

Advantages of Helical Piers
Foundation settlement isn’t just a cosmetic concern—it can compromise the safety and value of your property. Helicon’s helical pier systems offer a reliable, permanent solution that addresses the root cause of settlement.

Stops Foundation Settlement
Transfers the weight of your home or building to stable soil, halting further sinking and protecting structural integrity.

Immediate Strength & Long-Term Stability
Unlike some repair methods, helical piers provide instant load support and are engineered to last for decades.

Ideal for Florida Soils
Performs exceptionally well in sandy, loose, or moisture-sensitive soils common across Florida.

Minimally Invasive Installation
Requires little excavation, produces minimal vibration, and avoids major disruption to landscaping or existing structures.

Common Helical Pier Applications
Helical piers are versatile, making them an excellent choice for a wide range of residential and construction projects across Florida:

Residential Foundations
Stops settlement, reduces cracks, and restores stability to homes experiencing foundation movement.

Swimming Pools
Stabilizes pools and surrounding decks affected by shifting soils, high water tables, or erosion, preventing cracks and uneven settling.

Pre-Construction
Provides reliable deep foundation support for new homes, pools, and additions built on weak ground—helping prevent settlement issues before they start.

Decks & Additions
Provides dependable deep foundation support for new builds or expansions on weak ground, preventing future settlement.
