What Is Compaction Grouting?
Compaction grouting is a soil improvement and sinkhole repair method that works by injecting a dense grout mixture into the ground. Unlike chemical grouts or foams that permeate soil, compaction grout pushes directly into loose soils, filling voids and compressing surrounding material to restore strength.
This process not only fills dangerous underground cavities but also creates a hardened grout mass that caps and seals the limestone surface, preventing water infiltration that often leads to further sinkhole activity.
